I am enjoying the season so far. It starts to get interesting.

Episode 1

The first episode is a long episode. It is two episodes combined into one episode. It is a very good episode to start the arc. We had the upper moon demon meeting where we get to meet the rest of the upper moon. We don’t really see the full power each upper moon has yet. This season we will see more of the upper moon five, Gyokko, and upper moon four, Hantengu, powers because they are the main demons this season. Gyokko is similar to a genie. The differents are Gyokko lives in a vase instead of a magical lamp. He will not grant you three wishes but he will devour you.

We are also introduced to the Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji. Mitsuri joins the Demon Slayer Corps because she wants to find a husband. That is an interesting reason for joining the Demon Slayer Corps. I understand she wants to find a man who is stronger than her, but not a lot of Demon Slayer lives a long life. She can fall in love with a demon slayer, and he gets killed. It is just not an ideal way to find a husband this way. The good quality about Mitsuri is she is a caring character and childlike at times.

Episode 2

We are introduced to the Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito, in episode 2. This episode is a slow episode for me. It was a good episode, but my least favorite episode. Muichiro comes to the village to practice with a special sparring partner, a robot. He is fast in combat. We don’t see a lot of his techniques yet in this episode. He is also very cruel to the boy who has the key to the robot. This episode focuses a lot at Tanjiro’s training and searching for his swordsmith.

Episode 3

The season is finally getting good with this episode. The demons have finally arrived at the village. We first saw Gyokko in the village then Hantengu on the roof of a house. We see what Hantengu can do with his powers in this episode. We also get to see what Muichiro can do with his technique. We see a lot of battles between the Demon Slayer Corps with Hantengu but not a lot of battles with Gyokko yet. Tanjiro also has the chance to test his new temporary sword while the real sword is getting polished. Very good episode.
